I am sero-negative for acetylcholine receptor antibodies. On
that basis, I do not have MG [Myasthenia Gravis]. Although 40%
of those that do have MG, also test negative. But I will
let MS explain my symptoms although it doesn't seem to completely.
The fact that the cold causes such drastic and painful muscle
contractions in my arms, shoulders and neck should mean something
especially since they do use the Ice Test for confirmation of MG but
no matter. I will say no, I do not have MG and I am not going
to pursue this with any further testing.
There is no sign that I am going through menopause although I have only
had two periods in 2001... if you can call 3 drops a period.
AST [aspartate aminotransferase] is slightly elevated but I cannot recall
if any of the meds I take do that but there is a bell going off somewhere
that I do because I remember thinking... hmmm, I wonder why they aren't
checking my liver function. And most likely it is my pain meds...
unless I happened to have had a heart attack within 3 - 4 days of the
test... lol... highly unlikely.... and if I recall it has to be at least
slightly higher than this to be indicative of that. What it is
indicative to, in my mind, is muscular damage. That would fit
my profile.
My TSH [thyroid stimulating hormone] is low so they have reduced my
intake of Synthroid by cutting off one pill a week. Not reducing
the daily intake but having a day where I take none. Boy! That'll
be a fun-filled energetic day. Say good-bye to Synthroid on Wednesdays.
My total cholesterol was 210 which is high, but lower than it was in
'98 which was 238.
And lastly, my Triglycerides were 309 with borderline high range being
200 - 400.
You are listening to Memories from the musical Cats, written by
Andrew Lloyd Webber and T.S. Eliot. I felt this song was a perfect
selection
for this site because of the affiliation I feel with Grizabella. Although
for her,
it was age and not health issues that changed her, neither of us are who
we
were before, on the outside, and it can affect how we feel on the inside.
