First off, if a "normal" person presented with the same
symptoms and the abnormal MRI like I have, she would have already
diagnosed them with MS
but since I have so many different things wrong with me she wants
more positive proof of MS before she will diagnose me with MS.
Unfortunately, I must admit that does make sense. So, the
spinal tap is a must.
However, the symptoms are fairly classic of MS
and are progressing rapidly. So, she wants the diagnosis ASAP
so treatment can be initiated. So, yesterday she decided to
have the spinal tap done today under fluoroscopy guidance to hopefully
avoid the Vagal response I had the last time. But, fluoroscopy
could not do it until September 14th, so the
Spinal goes as previously scheduled at 9AM on
the 8th. I asked her to give me something
for the procedure and she has refused.
My blood pressure was low again yesterday... not as low as it got
during the spinal but low. It was 90/60.
Guess that means my hypertensive
meds may need to be adjusted.
Also found out that once the diagnosis is made, she will put me on
IV steroids for a few days BUT I can do it at home. YAY!!!
I have to have blood work done today at the hospital so I don't know
when I'll do that. I'm not even dressed yet. I'm just
so tired.
You are listening to Memories from the musical Cats, written by
Andrew Lloyd Webber and T.S. Eliot. I felt this song was a perfect
selection
for this site because of the affiliation I feel with Grizabella. Although
for her,
it was age and not health issues that changed her, neither of us are who
we
were before, on the outside, and it can affect how we feel on the inside.
