Today was my bone density scan. The steroids that I must take
in order to live enjoy a diet of calcium... MY calcium. It
has taken most of my teeth. Had all but 6 teeth pulled in 1990
and now need the those pulled. But due to my heart problems
I have to be on antibiotics for a few days ahead of time to prevent
getting an infection in my heart.
Anyway, I am way off the subject here... that was bone scan. It
is a noninvasive test. You just lie on a cold table while an
arm goes back and forth reading your bones.
DH said he could see through my hip bones...
NOT GOOD... but that my spine looked pretty good.
RESULTS: Pretty much what DH saw. My hips
are worse than they were 2 years ago but the spine is better.
How? Why? You tell me.
DIAGNOSIS: Osteopenia, which is what they call
osteoporosis if you haven't had any bone breaks.
PLAN: Continue Fosamax and Calcium with
vitamin D.
Does anyone hear this song playing in the back of their head?
in the year 2525
if man is still alive
if woman can survive
they may find...
You are listening to Memories from the musical Cats, written by
Andrew Lloyd Webber and T.S. Eliot. I felt this song was a perfect
selection
for this site because of the affiliation I feel with Grizabella. Although
for her,
it was age and not health issues that changed her, neither of us are who
we
were before, on the outside, and it can affect how we feel on the inside.
