There's this guy I know who rides upon an electric steed
Whose love is something I think I will always need
Though he is someone who is never on his feet at all
Nevertheless, he stands very tall
He earns a living doing a Karaoke show
And it is something he enjoys, I know
His voice is always clear and so strong
As he sings out each and every song
I'm proud to be beside him on that stage
But how it affects him is hard to gauge
To be with him the world I would cross
For not to have him would be such a loss
We may come from two different worlds
But I'm still content just being his girl
He is truly my knight in shining armor
And with each day I love him more
Most times he holds his head up high
Then other times he just barely gets by
It's at this time I know not what to say
But to wish for him a much better day
This man I love with all my heart
I couldn't bear it if we were to part
As we continue to go through daily living
We must recall it's love that we're giving
So if I continue to have him by my side
Nothing could happen I couldn't out ride
Together we'll travel this road of life
And maybe someday, I'll be his wife

You are listening to Dark Side by Eddie and The Cruisers.
I have such an eclectic taste in music that it is hard for me
to pick just the right song but this one seems appropriate.
I really like the movie and the music but this site
is about my slip into the dark side!
All poetry presented here is original works of art written by me.
Please do not recreate any of them without expressed permission from me.
My inspiration was my pain and as such is quite personal.
It is my soul that is bared through these words.
