JO's Poetry and Prose

Hello and welcome...
...I hope you enjoy my words in prose.

I started writing poetry back in 1995.  It came out of the blue one day while I was taking a shower.  I had never had anything like that happen to me and I was shocked... at both its' creation and its' birth.  The words seem to have a life and direction of their own where I had little to no control over them.  But it didn't seem as if I needed to as they each had their own sense of rhyme and rhythm too. That's the way they come to me.  I think it is the depth of the subject that does this and so my poetry is always something rather close to me. As such, I cannot sit down and just write a poem.  And because of that, I do not consider myself a poet.  I'm just someone who expresses herself in rhyme and rhythm.

Visit JO's MS Journal for all my poetry written about my battle with MS.  Although it is about me and my fight with illnesses, it can actually apply to others and their fights as well.

You can either follow the next button to navigate through my site or use the links below to skip to certain sites or sections.  Once you have visited a link, the color changes to match the rest of the text so you can tell at a glance if you have pages you haven't visited.  Just watch for those darker words, no telling where they might take you.

You are listening to Fur Elise written by Ludwig Van Beethoven.
This has always been my most favorites of piano pieces...
...and it has always made me wish I played the piano.
But I played the accordion which is almost like the piano and
you are about to read my poems which are almost like poetry.
