Fourth of July
We decided the
best place to watch the fireworks was the beach and we were
right! Well, let me tell you, we could not have picked
a better spot and I was surprised that we had very few people
around us.. maybe a half a dozen.
We were able to see three different displays... the display
from The Amelia Island Plantation was bursting color in huge
display of circles and plumes and flares while those set off
downtown were far enough away to look about half the size but
still enjoyable. The sound often taking a couple of seconds
after the display to reach us made it quite different. And
last was the miniature,or so it looked from where we were, display
being set off at the beach where Mel and I had spent our day.
The neatest thing though was the pre-fireworks show. A fireworks
spitting plane! I had never seen a plane do fireworks
but it was incredible! Doing his loop-d-loops toward the
ocean spitting color the whole way with the return to the cloudless
sky. He was right in front of us and his display spectacular!
