Our Woody

We took our first walk on the beach today.  And we walked and walked.  We walked for about 2 hours and covered about 3 miles talking about everything under the sun and found several things under it as well...
a sand-dollar, a scallop shell, one of those types you hear the ocean in but much smaller, and a clam shell that still had both sides attached.

We talked about lots of things... the boys, my parents, and whether we were stupid or not.

Stupid, about what , you ask?  We bought a car.  Paid cash.  Fearful that once the lease was up, our credit would be shot and our ability to pay cash would be diminished leaving us without anything.

So, we bought a compact woody.
A 1988 LaBaron Town and Country.
It is really kind of cute.

Mike's Dodge Ram Truck

It looks much bigger here than it really is but next to the truck it looks minuscule. We turned the truck in the very next day.  And you know what the really strange thing is... DH surprised me with another car on this very day,
April 16th, back in 1997.

I LOVED that car!  I MISS that car!
But those were the days when I could still work.
