July 1st...
A busy day... in the late afternoon, we went to Lorraine and Mike's club for the weekly meat draw. What is a meat draw, you ask? Well, think of roulette wheel with numbers from 1 - 60. For a buck... a Canadian Buck that is... you can purchase one of those numbers. Once all the numbers are taken, the wheel is spun then the person who has the number gets to come select a meat prize... yes, meat! Like stuffed chicken breast, stuffed pork chops, roast, hamburger, chops, you name it. The wheel is spun 8 times... 4 for meat and 4 for a chance at a barbecue. This is done like 8 times. Carol kicked butt! AND won the barbecue!!!
Since it was Lorraine's birthday that day, we decided she should spoil us with a crab leg feast. :) LOL... You have to know Lorraine to understand why I said that. She is a cook extraordinaire and spoiled us beyond belief during our visit. Actually, I got this wrong. I am not sure when we had the crab but Friday, Eddie and Carol treated us all to a FABULOUS dinner!
Then it was off to karaoke. You can download a movie with sound of two of the songs I sang. It does NOT sound as good as in person since it is a camera mic but what the hay, huh? These are LARGE files. You will NOT want to attempt to download these if you are on dial-up and may not even want to if you have high-speed internet. If you choose to download it, it would be best if you save to your HD then open the file from there. They do require Quick Time.
